Being a two-minute walk from the Pantheon could easily have turned this into a tourist trap decades ago; instead it's stayed a genuinely local trattoria that happens to sit in the most touristed square in the city, which is exactly why it needs booking rather than relying on walk-in tourist traffic. It's closed Sundays, unusually for a restaurant in this location — plan around it if that's the only day you have free.
